CHEESY CHICKEN  BALLS (RAMAZAN SPECIAL)



Cheesy Chicken Balls are favorites among the children, soft and crunchy at the same time, with Potato and Chicken make them mouth watering snack. Popular during Iftar time in Ramazan especially for kids.

These balls are also prepared with Mashed Potato and Cheese, Chicken is an extra delicacy to be included to make it more healthy.  With only Mashed Potatoe, these balls can be made into spicy balls as well with the addition of Red Chili Flakes or Powder and Chat Masala.

My kids love these Cheesy Balls very much and it is a must dish during Ramazan in our home, always prepared by my wife, I asked my wife to let us share this simple recipe with my blog visitors.

Let us start preparing our very simple Cheesy Chicken Balls for our Iftar with the name of ALLAH. 






EQUATION:


Boiling Eggs and Mashed Potatoes:  10 to 15 minutes
Assembling the Balls:                      10 minutes
Frying:                                           10 minutes
Yield:                                             12 Balls
Expenses:                                       Rs. 125/00 (A Dollar and few Cents)






INGREDIENTS:

  1. 1 large Potato boiled and mashed
  2. 250 Grams Chicken
  3. 100 Grams Mozzarella Cheese
  4. 1 Teaspoon Black Pepper Powder
  5. Salt to taste
  6. Bread Crumbs as required
  7. 1 Egg



PREPARATION:

  • Boil separately the boneless Chicken and Potato
  • Mash the potato and shred the Chicken
  • Mix Salt and Black Pepper in boiled chicken and mashed potatoes and the Cheese to make the dough.
  • Make balls of this dough (size of your choice) and dip them in beaten egg.
  • Coat the egg dipped balls in bread crumbs.
  • Heat oil in a Pan and after it is fully hot, turn the heat to low-medium.
  • Shallow fry the balls on low-medium heat till Golden.
  • Enjoy and serve with any Chutney or Tomato Ketchup.
