SWEETIE



SWEETIE 




This Ramazan special dessert is healthy as well as different in taste and texture, it can be had both at Iftar and Saher time. Everything used in this dessert is mostly available in our kitchens and if also available around the corner stores.

So try making this Sweetie for your Iftar and Saher during this Ramazan and after Ramazan on Eid day.

So let us start this very simple recipe with the name of ALLAH.




INGREDIENTS:

  1. 1 Litre Milk
  2. 4 Large Bread Slices
  3. 4 Tablespoons Corn Flour
  4. 200 ml Fresh Cream (Optional)
  5. 200 ml Condensed Milk
  6. 200-250 ml of Fruit Cocktail
  7. 1/2 Cup Sugar
  8. 1 Teaspoon Pistachio Extract, or any other flavor of your choice
  9. 3-4 Packets of Quick Set Jelly Crystals, with colors and flavors of your choice.



PREPARATION:

  • Start with preparing jelly crystals in different colors and flavors, pour the hot jelly into the Ice Cube Trays and let them cool and set.
  • Cut the sides of the Bread Slices and break the slices in tiny morsels with your hands, set aside.
  • Boil Milk with sugar, till it is dissolved.
  • Add Condensed Milk and stir to combine.
  • Put in the morsels of Bread Slices and combine them as well.
  • Add Corn Flour (already dissolved in water), little at a time to achieve your desired consistency.
  • Add any Essence/Extract. I used Pistachio Extract.
  • Douse the flame and pour the batter in a Glass Dish and let it cool.
  • When it is cool, add Fresh Cream if you like and then add the Fruit Cocktail with syrup, mix it well.
  • Now take out the well set colorful Jelly Crystals from the Tray and place them over the milky dessert in any pattern you like.
  • Keep in Refrigerator and enjoy cold.
